
In pursuit o its Latin American expansion, Stawood Hotels is using its Sheraton brand to further its goals with an opening in Costa Rica.
Starwood Hotels is wielding its Sheraton brand in its quest for Latin American expansion. The brand is currently the company's gem, with 30 properties spread over 14 countries. To help Starwood Hotels reach the group goal of expansion, the Sheraton brand aims to have 500 properties globally by 2015.The brand has added the Sheraton San Jose Costa Rica to its portfolio, and soon plans to expand in Argentina, Brazil, and Colombia within the next year. The hotel offers lodging in the business district of the city, with 50 international firms, and near the international airport Aeropuerto Juan Santamaria.
