The Conrad Cartagena in Colombia will become the second Conrad establishment in Latin America, after the brand made its regional debut in Uruguay with the Conrad Punta del Este Resort and Casino. The new-build hotel will also be the first Hilton-managed Conrad in the region.The announcement comes after the hotel group signed a management agreement with developer Megaterra Colombia S.A. The property will consist of 250 guestrooms as part of the Karibana Beach & Golf Condominium. Opening is expected for December 31st, 2015.According to John T. A. Vanderslice, global head of luxury and lifestyle brands for Hilton Worldwide, "Adding a Conrad in an exciting location like Cartagena truly reflects the brand's intent to have a presence in each of the world's gateway cities and most sought-after resort destinations".
