
Rotana announced that the five-star Saadiyat Rotana Resort should be on track to open in 2015 on the island of Saadiyat in Abu Dhabi.
A 2007 Wall Street Journal survey acknowledged Saadiyat as becoming one of the world's top 10 most trendy destinations. The island's position is thanks to its active Cultural District, welcoming the Abu Dhabi museum in 2015.The museum's opening will coincide with the opening of Rotana's resort. The Saadiyat Rotana Resort will offer 375 upscale rooms and suites, and 13 private beach villas, on Saadiyat Beach, a nine-kilometer stretch of beach on Saadiyat Island.Ali Al Hammadi, Deputy Managing Director at Tourism Development & Investment Company (TDIC) says "the vision of Saadiyat is coming to life as new projects are being realized. Saadiyat is en-route to becoming a world-class tourism destination."
