
Carlson Rezidor is preparing to welcome athletes and fans for the 2014 World Cup and the 2016 Olympics. The hotel group has is strengthening its Brazilian network and has announced the opening of two new hotels in the country in early 2014, under the Radisson brand: Radisson Hotel Rio de Janeiro with 292 rooms and the Radisson Hotel Sao Paulo Vila Olimpia, a conversion of the former Park Suites ITC Faria Lima for an investment of nearly $ 3.5 million.These developments position the Radisson brand as a leader in Brazil's upscale hotel sector. The group currently has a portfolio of 10 Radisson hotels in the country, representing more than 1,800 rooms in operation. Other institutions are also in the group's Brazilian pipeline, such as Radisson Goiânia scheduled for 2016, and the Radisson Guarajuba scheduled for 2018.
