Radisson Hotel Group has announced the rebranding of prizeotel, its affordable design brand, as Prize by Radisson. This change is accompanied by the signing of two new hotels, one in Gdansk in Poland and the other in Berlin in Germany, marking a further step in the group's expansion in Central Europe.
This repositioning is part of a drive to expand the brand's presence in strategic European markets, with new projects in Poland and Germany. The rebranding of Prize by Radisson aims to bring the brand closer to the Group's values, particularly in terms of customer experience with the ‘Yes I Can!’ approach. The brand will continue to offer a mid-range hotel experience.
New openings planned in Gdansk and Berlin
The Prize by Radisson, Gdansk City, scheduled to open in 2026, will be a 126-room hotel located 300 metres from Gdansk Boulevard and its historic architecture along the Motlawa River. The hotel will feature a restaurant and a bar on the ground floor. Gdansk is a rapidly developing economic and tourist centre.
In Berlin, the Prize by Radisson, Berlin City, will open in 2027 with 315 rooms in the Prenzlauer Berg district, close to Alexanderplatz. The top floor of the hotel will house a lobby, bar, social space and breakfast restaurant with views of the city. The building is aiming for DGNB Gold certification for its environmental performance, in line with the brand's sustainability objectives.
Portfolio expansion in Europe
Prize by Radisson, launched in 2009, has quickly established itself by offering a combination of contemporary design and affordable accommodation. With recent openings in Bonn, Vienna and Münster in 2022, the brand's current portfolio comprises 21 hotels in operation or under development across Europe.
The brand's expansion will continue with the opening in 2025 of Prize by Radisson, Osnabrück City, a 170-room hotel in a mixed-use city centre complex combining accommodation, dining and retail.
