Pierre & Vacances has announced the addition of its second hotel in Blanes, reinforcing its presence on the Catalan coast. The current 4-star superior, family-owned Hotel Horitzó will join the French group under a management model and will be renamed Hotel Horitzó by Pierre & Vacances.
The hotel is located right on the seafront and offers 109 rooms, a spa, a fitness centre and a renowned restaurant, Sicra's, which serves local cuisine. Blanes is known as a seaside city and is the first place belonging to the Costa Brava. The city is five minutes away by car from Lloret de Mar and is one hour away from Barcelona.
Pierre & Vacances has confirmed that all the hotel's staff will remain on the payroll, with a projected annual turnover of around 2 million euros in a stabilised context.
"The addition of this hotel reflects our commitment to continue growing with top tourist destinations in Spain, as is the case of Blanes, and is an example of how, despite finding ourselves in a complex and challenging context, at Pierre & Vacances we continue to work so that investors and hoteliers can find in our proposal a solution with total guarantees", said José María Pont, Executive Chairman of Pierre & Vacances in Spain.
He added that "the trust placed in us by the family that owns the Hotel Horitzó encourages us to continue working together to build a strong, quality tourism model that will help us to emerge from this crisis".
With this new incorporation, the group is reinforcing its presence in Spain, where it has a total of 41 properties, including hotels, apartment complexes and resorts, with a total of more than 4,400 accommodation units.
