The Samaritaine Department store is to re-open in 2014 as a multi-purpose centre, including a luxury hotel under the Cheval Blanc brand.
The LVMH building has been closed since 2005 because it was in a dilapidated and dangerous state. When it re-opens, it will house shops, office space, social housing, and a nursery alongside an 80-room luxury hotel from the Cheval Blanc brand, also owned by LVMH. The entire project carries a price tag of 460 million euros.
