The Wyndham Hotel Group has expanded in city centers over the last 18 months to enter markets in Boston, San Diego and Philadelphia in the U.S.; Istanbul; Berlin and Salzburg, Austria, in Europe; and Cusco, Peru, and Guayaquil, Ecuador, in Latin America, among others. The latest addition to the roster is the 170 -room Wyndham New Yorker Hotel, located in the heart of Midtown Manhattan. Owned by New Yorker Hotel Management Company, Inc., the 40-story hotel becomes the fourth Wyndham hotel in New York City's Manhattan Borough, joining Wyndham Midtown 45, Wyndham Garden Chinatown and Wyndham Garden Manhattan Chelsea West. The property's central location puts guests steps away from the city's key business centers and top attractions, including Times Square, Madison Square Garden, the Theater District, Javits Center and the Empire State Building. Hotel features include free wireless internet access throughout the property, a business center, a fitness center and two on-site dining locations: Cooper's Tavern, for lunch and dinner, and the 24-hour Tick Tock Diner. The hotel is situated within 15 miles of the area's three international airports. After $100 million in renovations, a new multi-million dollar renovation is underway at the historic hotel to upgrade all guest rooms, public spaces and meeting facilities. Meeting and event space will increase from 25,000 square feet to over 30,000 square feet. Guests hosting events at Wyndham New Yorker Hotel have access to state-of-the-art audio-visual equipment and services, personalized catering and an on-site, dedicated events team.
