InterContinental Hotels is strengthening its pipeline in India with a new-build Holiday Inn establishment in the town of New Chandigarh on the outskirts of Chandigarh city. Holiday Inn is the group's strongest brand in the country, accounting for 85% of its growth in the country.The Holiday Inn New Chandigarh Sector 4B will be developed by Omaxe, one of India's leading real estate developers. The 150-room establishment will be part of a mixed-use development also including offices, retail, and residencies. The hotel will also offer its own dining, leisure and event spaces.According to Douglas Martell, Vice President, Operations, South West Asia, "New Chandigarh has great potential for both business and residential demand. It is an ideal location for Holiday Inn in New Chandigarh and we are very much looking forward to our partnership with Omaxe".
