The first establishment in China of the hotel group, the Mövenpick Hotel Enshi is also the very first internationally branded five-star hotel to open its doors in Enshi. Standing 14 storeys, it is located near the city's convention center, in the heart of the business district. The establishment offers 240 guestrooms as well as 1,415 of space for events.With the opening of the Mövenpick Hotel Enshi, the hotel group which is celebrating its 40th anniversary, marks the beginning of its development in China. Three other establishments are currently under development, should be opening their doors in the destination between now and 2015: a resort on the island of Phoenix with 380 rooms, a hotel in Chifend City with 350 rooms, and a Shanghai establishment with 300 rooms.Mövenpick Hotels & Resorts currently has a network of 71 hotels in operation in 25 different countries. The group expects to expand its international network with 30 additional establishments in the coming years: in Turkey, Dubai, Abu Dhabi, Shanghai and Dharamshala.
