Melià Hotels International launches in Austria

Melià Hotels International is entering the Austrian market with the announcement of its first opening in the city of Vienna. With an opening scheduled for February 2014, the Melià Vienna will be located between the fourth and fourteenth stories of the Donau City Tower. The design of the 253 rooms, meeting space, and common areas was entrusted to Parisian architect Dominique Perrault. "The group's milestone in Vienna will play an important role in our development and the recognition of our brand in the German speaking markets, which, with 247 hotels in operation, is our second largest market in Europe after Spain", said André Gerondeau, Executive Vice President of Melià Hotels International. The hotel group currently has a portfolio of more than 350 hotels, located in 35 countries.
