Meliá expands in China with two signings

Meliá Hotels International has announced two brand introductions in the city of Zhengzhou in Central China. The city is the capital of and largest city in Henan province, which experienced 12% GDP growth and 10 million visitors via the airport in 2012. The two hotels, Innside by Meliá and Meliá Zhengzhou, will open in June 2015 and January 2016 respectively.These hotels will be part of a three-building hotel complex, with an Innside by Meliá housed in one building and a Meliá Hotel housed in the other two. Together, the two hotels will add 933 rooms to Meliá's Chinese portfolio. Business and events will be main focus for the hotels, with a grand ballroom for over 900 guests and several meeting rooms.
