
Meliá Hotels International is not only expanding its global network by three properties with one agreement, but is also preparing for its Moroccan debut. The hotel group has announced the signing of a management agreement with SDS, a partnership between the major Moroccan group CDG and the Moroccan Tourism Development Fund for three properties in Saida Med, Morocco.The three properties under the agreement will consist of: a Beach Hotel (396 rooms) for an estimated 39.2 million euro, with a spa, convention center, 4 restaurants and 3 bars, a kid's club, and a superb beach club; a Club Hotel (150 rooms) for 17.8 million euro, especially targeting families with golf, play areas, and pools; Finally, 190 luxury apartment units are to open next to the beach hotel, for an estimated investment of 26.7 million euro.Both hotels are expected to open in 2016, while the apartment units are expected for 2017.
