Melià Hotels International is reinforcing its presence in the Caribbean with the opening of its first establishment in the Bahamas. Located within the Baha Mar leisure and tourist complex, at Nassau Beach, the Melià Baha Mar hotel should be opening its doors in 2014 with 694 rooms, after finishing its renovation program.Baha Mar unites several international chains' establishments, such as Rosewood Hotels & Resort and Mondrian, for a total of 2,900 units of hotel and residential accommodations. It also includes a golf course, a spa, a dozen pools, and more than 5,000 square meters of meetings space. The complex represents a total investment of about 3.5 billion dollars.
