With properties already in Amsterdam, Longon, Glasgow, New York, Paris and Rotterdam, the Dutch hotel group CitizenM plans to expand further. Its target is a global portfolio in prime Metropolitan cities and major international airports, with location and site being key. Shareholders have ensured the resources for this project and expansion may be conducted through owned investments, leases, or a management and lease structure. CitizenM leaders pay special attention to owned properties as they consider it is the operator that gives the property its value and thus it is important to have control over the real estate in order to sell a product that is globally consistent.
