Starwood Hotels announced the eighth Luxury Collection establishment in Greece with the King George hotel in Athens.

After a three-month renovation project, owner Lampsa Hellenic Hotels S.A., has reopened the King George hotel in Athens as a member of Starwood Hotels & Resorts' Luxury Collection. This reopening brings the hotel group's total network in Greece to 11 establishments, eight of which are part of the Luxury Collection. Three of these Luxury Collection hotels have been branded with the partnership of Lampsa Hellenic Hotels S.A., marking an important partnership.The renovation project saw the hotel's public spaces and 59 guestrooms updated to a contemporary style to meet the needs of today's guests. The ballroom now comfortably hosts up to 400 guests and can be divided into three separate rooms. The hotel's famous Tudor Hall restaurant on the seventh floor has also been transformed with both indoor and outdoor terrace options in a contemporary Mediterranean setting.
