Louvre Hotels announces a major Chinese partnership

Louvre Hotels Group has announced the signing of a partnership in China with the Chengdu Mareka Hotel Property Management. Through this partnership, the hotel group will gain 100 new Tulip Inn establishments in China over the next five years, notably in Szechuan and Tibet. This deal reaffirms the group's strategy to develop in China and emerging markets.The projects will begin with several conversions and new developments. Five hotels in Chengdu, Chongqing and Xichang, representing 420 rooms, will be brought under the Tulip Inn brand. The group will also develop four Tulip Inn hotels in Tibet, and one Royal Tulip in Chengdu for 450 rooms total. A further 20 hotels per year will be developed in franchise over the next five years, especially in Beijing and Shanghai.
