
InterContinental Hotels Group is continuing its development in Germany and has signed an agreement with Bierwirth & Kluth Hotelmanagement GmbH to open five new hotels in the destination, under the Hotel Indigo, Crowne Plaza, Holiday Inn and Holiday Inn Express brands.The first establishment to open its doors according to the terms of the agreement will be Holiday Inn Hamburg City North. This new construction offers 297 rooms and should open between now and 2016 near the city's airport.InterContinental Hotels Group hopes to double its footprint in Germany by 2020, where the group currently has a portfolio of 61 hotels and a pipeline of 16 establishments.
