IHG announced the signing of a Holiday Inn establishment in Poland, expected to open in 2015.

InterContinental Hotels Group has signed a franchise agreement with Hotel Commercial Investment to open the Holiday Inn Dabrowa Gornicza Katowice. The new-build hotel will offer 160 guestrooms near the EXPO Silesia exhibition center, primarily catering to the MICE segment.According to Peter Vermeer, Director of development Eastern and Central Europe, "this latest signing in Poland demonstrates the brand's ability and agility to pioneer new markets across Europe". It also represents the first internationally branded hotel in Dabrowa Gornicza.The Holiday Inn Dabrowa Gornicza Katowice is scheduled to open in 2015.
