Hyatt Hotels has announced plans for the Hyatt Place Manatí in Puerto Rico. It is the group’s second Hyatt Place hotel project in partnership with Island Hospitality in Puerto Rico.
Hyatt Hotels Corporation has announced it has signed an agreement with Island Hospitality Partners to build the 104-room Hyatt Place hotel in Manatí, Puerto Rico. Island Hospitality is already the owner of the Hyatt Place Bayamón Hotel & El Tropical Casino. Both hotels are currently under construction and set to open in 2014.Pat McCudden, senior vice president, real estate and development Hyatt Hotels & Resorts. “We believe that the Hyatt Place brand and the location of the hotel in Manatí will have strong appeal to business and leisure travellers visiting the region.”There are currently over 165 Hyatt Place hotels in operation in the United States, with more than 35 Hyatt Place hotels under development around the world. The first two Hyatt Place hotels outside the United States are expected to open later this autumn: Hyatt Place San Jose Pinares in San Jose, Costa Rica and Hyatt Place Hampi in Hampi, India.
