InterContinental Hotels Group has announced an addition to its Australian portfolio through a franchise deal with Oscars Hotel Group. A multi-million dollar investment has seen the Sunnybrook Hotel undergo a transition to become the Holiday Inn Warwick Farm.The refurbishment has taken place over the past twelve months, seeing the hotel's restaurant, gymnasium, swimming pool and all 146 guestrooms brought up to date. Work will be continuing on the hotel's events space and adjoining Oscars Tavern and events center. The events space will include three new conference rooms and the events center will increase capacity to host 799 guests by completion in 2014.According to Alan Watts, IHG's Australasia Chief Operating Officer, "The opening of Holiday Inn Warwick Farm is the next step in Holiday Inn hotels' growth in New South Wales - this is the sixth of our Holiday Inn hotels in Sydney". He continues, "Holiday Inn Warwick Farm will be ideally positioned to cater to growing demand for hotel accommodation there".
