
Hilton Worldwide will introduce Australia's first DoubleTree by Hilton hotel with three openings upon rebranding three Northern Territory hotels on May 1st.
DoubleTree by Hilton will debut in Australia with three simultaneous openings with hotel rebrandings on May 1st of this year.The hotels will all be located in Australia's Northern Territory, in the capital Darwin and Alice Springs. The hotels include the DoubleTree by Hilton Darwin, DoubleTree by Hilton Esplanade Darwin, and the DoubleTree by Hilton Alice Springs. Ashley Spencer, vice president, operations, Australasia, Hilton Worldwide, dubs these cities the "most significant areas of growth”.Both cities are located near some of Australia's major tourist sites, including Kakadu National Park, the Katharine Gorge, Darwin's massive natural harbour (pictured), and Alice Springs is the departure town for visiting Australia’s famous red rock Uluru. In terms of business travel, the area is excellent for mining and natural resources.The Australia expansion marks the 30th country and sixth continent with DoubleTree by Hilton branded hotels.
