In the coming year, Fairmont Raffles Hotels International will accelerate its development in emerging markets, particularly Russia, Turkey, Saudi Arabia, and Indonesia, with further aspirations for a location in China as well. The group already has 7 hotel openings for a total of 1,300 rooms scheduled for these locations in 2014."The expansion of our presence is a strategic priority for FRHI, and we have put an aggressive development plan in place in order to reach our development goals of +50% over the next five years", says Michael Glennie, President & COO of FRHI. "Expanding our brands with the right product on the right market is an important part of our development strategy. We are therefore very excited about the idea of locating in several key destinations this year".The upcoming openings include: Swissôtel Sochi Krasnaya Polyana (166 rooms) and Swissôtel Sochi Kamelia (203 rooms) opening in Russia in winter 2014; Swissôtel Bodrum Beach (66 rooms & 72 private residences) and Raffles Istanbul (130 rooms & 51 suites) in Turkey; Fairmont Riyadh, Business Gate, (52 rooms & suites) in Saudi Arabia; and Raffles Jakarta (180 rooms & suites) in Indonesia.
