
Four Seasons pursues rapid global expansion with a new establishment in Toronto, where the brand was created over 50 years ago. The 259-room hotel is set to open in October 2012.
Canadian chain Four Seasons Hotels and Resorts will in October inaugurate a new hotel in its birthplace of Toronto. The new opening is part of a wider strategy for growth through global expansion."The new Four Seasons Hotel Toronto is a showcase for the next generation of Four Seasons experiences, helping to exemplify where we're headed in the future," said President and Chief Executive Officer, Katie Taylor.Four Seasons is pursuing a development strategy in 36 countries around the world, with China representing a large area of focus. The group recently celebrated its 88th property with the inauguration of the Four Seasons Hotel Guangzhou (pictured above) and has upcoming hotels in Beijing, Shanghai Pudong, and Shenzhen. The country represents 20 percent of projected openings for the next 4 years.Four Seasons will debut in Sub-Saharan Africa with the opening of three new establishments, and will continue rapid expansion in the Middle East with the Four Seasons Hotel Baku opening in September 2012 and the Four Seasons Resort Dubai opening at the end of 2014. In Europe, the group foresees new hotels in Moscow and Rome, and in The Americas its pipeline includes hotels in Orlando, Mexico and the Caribbean.
