DoubleTree by Hilton enters Barcelona

Hilton Worldwide has announced the signing of a franchise agreement that will lead to the brand's fourth property in the country and first hotel in the city of Barcelona. Hilton Worldwide currently operates two hotels Barcelona, the Hilton Barcelona (pictured) and Hilton Diagonal Mar Barcelona.The agreement with A. Hotels S.A. will see the conversion of the current Alexandra Barcelona Hotel to Alexandra Barcelona - a DoubleTree hotel in early 2014. The property currently offers 116 rooms and 3 meeting rooms, but will see the addition of a 24-hour connectivity zone through the conversion, along with other signature amenities.
