Centara Hotels & Resorts has announced plans to open its third hotel in Bangkok, Centara Watergate Pavillion Hotel & Spa

The four-star property will be located in the Rachaprarop area of the Thai capital above the Watergate Pavillion shopping complex

It follows Centara’s two existing hotels in Bangkok - Centara Grand & Bangkok Convention Centre at CentralWorld, and Sofitel Centara Grand Bangkok, both of which are also situated adjacent to major shopping malls. This location is a key factor in acquiring the new management contract, according to Centara. Opening in the second quarter of 2012, the hotel and shopping complex will be located inside a newly-constructed 20-storey building, with the hotel taking up a total of 10 floors and featuring a total of 288 rooms.
