Carlson Rezidor's portfolio in Saudi Arabia now consists of 16 hotels in operation and under development, after partnering with Al Fahd Group to develop two upcoming Radisson Blu properties, expected to open by 2016. The Al Fahd Group properties are the Radisson Blu Resort Al Khobar Aziziya and the Radisson Blu Hotel & Residence Unaizah.The Radisson Blu Resort Al Khobar Aziziya, seeking to be one of the first quality beach resorts on the Al Khobar coast and expected to open in Q4 2015, will offer 186 rooms, more than 270 square meters of meeting and event space, as well as 350 square meters of gym, sauna and outdoor pool space. The Radisson Blu Hotel & Residence Unaizah will offer 180 units in Q2 2016; it will be located in the Al Fahd district of Unaizah as part of a 2 million square meter development. It will offer 1,800 square meters of events space with a ballroom, an all-day restaurant, a pool café, a specialty restaurant, and a gym & spa.
