
Donal Trump already invested £750 million in a championship golf course at the Menie Estate, near Aberdeen in Scotland. He was relunctant to invest more in a resort hotel while a project of windmill farm was developed on the shore of his estate. Strong opposition to the project makes him reconsider his position.
During a special trip to his newly opened championship golf course, near Aberdeen, US celebrity businessman, Donald Trump announced he was “ready to build a hotel. It will be the best hotel in Scotland and one of the best hotels in Europe. Everybody wants to be near our course,” despite previously saying no more investment would be made while plans for an 11-turbine wind farm were still being considered.The forecast project is a luxury 450-room hotel, together with a spa and hundreds of holiday homes. To make sure the view would not be spoiled by the wind farm, he threaten the Scotish authorities of a massive lawsuit. Many local environmental associations are also fighting agains the wind farm, lately the Scotish Heritage Association joined the battle.
