Starwood Hotels & Resorts is developing its Aloft brand in the UAE with its second location in the country, after the Aloft Abu Dhabi in 2009. The new location will be in Al Ain, the second largest city in the emirate of Abu Dhabi.The hotel will be part of a 500,000 square meter mixed-use development surrounding the Hazza Bin Zayed Stadium. Aloft Al Ain is expected to open its 172 rooms in 2016.
