The Starwood Hotels & Resorts' Aloft brand portfolio in China has been brought to seven with the announcement of an opening in the Eastern city of Yancheng, following an agreement with owner Yancheng Powerlong Real Estate Development Co.,Ltd. This will be the first internationally branded hotel in the city. "From the recent opening in Dalian to Aloft Yancheng, Aloft reflects a growing demand for design-led hotels with a lively social scene in emerging cities", says Qian Jin, President, Greater China, Starwood Hotels & Resorts.The establishment features 299 guestrooms. Additionally, the hotel proposes live music performances, as well as 380 square meters of meeting space to reflect the city's position as a major business hub. The hotel is located near both the downtown area and business district, with access to major tourist sites.
