Accor Surpasses 100,000 Rooms in Asia-Pacific

Accor has announced the opening of the 550-room Ibis Hong Kong Central & Sheung Wan, which brings the number of rooms the hotel group operates in Asia-Pacific to over 100,000.

With the opening of the 550-room Ibis Hong Kong Central and Sheung Wan, situated within one of Hong Kong’s liveliest commercial and nightlife districts, Accor has reached a milestone of 100,000 rooms in Asia-Pacific, reaffirming the Group’s growth strategy for the region. Denis Hennequin, Accor’s Chairman and Chief Executive Officer, said, "Asia-Pacific presents tremendous opportunities for expansion, given the region’s dynamic economic development and rapidly growing middle class leading to many more people travelling today than ever before.”Accor thus now operates 536 hotels in 16 countries in Asia-Pacific, of which 179 are under the Ibis, Ibis Styles and Ibis Budget brands.
