
Accor will be opening three new-build properties in Myanmar between now and 2015, including the capital city’s international brand hotel.
According to Robert Murray, chief operating officer, Accor South East and North East Asia, these three hotels will be in high demand, as Myanmar is expecting a strong increase in international arrivals this year.The three new properties include an MGallery and two Novotel hotels. The first of these new developments will open later this year. The MGallery hotel will be located in the country’s capital of Naypyidaw, the city's first international brand hotel. The 168-room establishment will feature a meeting hall, four meeting rooms, a cigar bar, and two restaurants.The Novotel Yangon Max and Novotel Mandalay Mingalar are both located in Yangon. The Novotel Yangon Max will feature 366-rooms, three restaurants, a bar, a 1,000 square meter banquet hall, eight meeting rooms, a swimming pool, and a wellness center, opening in 2013. The Novotel Mandalay Mingalar, opening in 2015, features 280-rooms, two restaurants, two bars, a ballroom, four meeting rooms, a swimming pool, and a wellness center.
