Londonerry will be UK City of Culture in 2013.

They are still at the aplication stage, but they include a Premier Inn in the Waterside area of the city and a hotel at the site of the former Tillie and Henderson shirt factory.Gransha, Great James Street and Foyle Street should also expect to see hotels if plans are approved.An application for a 114-key hotel on the Strand Road have also been submitted.Gransha, Great James Street and Foyle Street should also expect to see hotels if plans are approved.
