
Choice Hotel International has reported on its development during the second semester of the year, during which it added 113 establishments to its franchise network. The group thus augmented its portfolio of 8,000 new rooms to reach nearly 500,000 rooms internationally. Among the facts that stand out during the second semester of 2013, the group's Ascend Collection brand reached the key figure of 100 establishments in its network, with the opening of 29 new hotels, including the brand's first in Australia. Choice Hotels International also entered Panama and developed its first new generation hotels under the Comfort Inn and Comfort Suites brands, like the Comfort Suites & Conference Center Worthington.
