Hotel Anna by Geisel Munich

First the hotelier family had to give up the 2-star restaurant Werneckhof as a result of the crisis. Now the Designhotel Anna, which opened in 2002, is following suit.

The Hotel at Stachus will be closed at the end of the year. The reason given is the drastic drop in sales due to the Covid-19 pandemic.

The managing directors announce:

With not even 25 percent of our normal sales, we unfortunately do not manage to keep the business running, because the monthly costs remain. This step makes us very sad, but in these times, we have no other option. This step is very hard for our guests, but especially for our loyal employees.

The hotel was opened in 2002 and was considered the first design hotel in the Bavarian capital. In the evening, the bar was also a popular meeting place for the locals.

The corona virus thus also has serious consequences for houses that were previously firmly anchored in the market. So it had only recently become known that the Grandhotel Hessischer Hof in Frankfurt would also have to close due to the crisis.
