We also have local guides to go with customers to meet local populations, to discover isolated villages, and to thus foresee the Malagasy customs and habits, and the bio diversity (lemurs, wales, primary forest...).The preservation of this sublime environment and the community-minded activities being pursued here to encourage harmonious sustainable development for the benefit of the local population are just two of the ethical aspects of this marvellous Eco-paradise.Tsara Komba Lodge created its own NGO that acts in favour of the respect of people dignity, rebuilding the village of Antrema, situated at less than 1 km, where live approximately 150 persons.This rebuilding program includes 30 houses, a nursery school (2 teachers remunerated by the NGO), a system of water adduction, a rain drainage, bathroom appliances with toilets, showers and laundrettes. A dispensary and a Library are coming soon.Most of our employees are coming from this village nearby. We provide our teams with high-quality training and highest wages than the income support, and also the payment of their health treatment (for them and for their family) by setting up a health fund just for the hotel, in addition to the local social services. In addition, we also get fresh product (vegetables, fruits, fisches...)and local materials from local fair trade with a positive impact on the village economy. Lastly, Tsara Komba Lodge, supported by the french Minister of The Economic Cooperation, organized in 2011, the “Eco Chic Night in Paris, One Night to rebuild a Village in Madagascar“, a support for the Malagasy artists through the charity auction of 130 art works to the profit of the NGO actions.A new Charity Project is in progress for 2012 : 72 contemporary well-known artists, designers or architects will be producing a work of art from a raw material, taking the form of a door or a shutter, crafted by Madagascan artists from the Zafimaniry community, the final guardians of a highly original wood crafting culture, listed as intangible cultural heritage of humanity by UNESCO. The hybrid items resulting from this twofold artistic initiative will be sold at auction to raise funds for the NGO and to rebuild the Zafimaniry Villages.Please tell us why do you think you should win?What a difficult question!
