
Tourism is often singled out for its impact on the environment, accounting for around 8% of global greenhouse gas emissions. While the majority of these emissions are due to travel, the hotel industry also has a role to play in the sector's sustainable transition. Aware of the efforts that need to be made, the players in the hospitality industry are mobilising day after day to protect the planet, but also to contribute to the local economy.
