Accor increasingly committed to the fight against violence against women

In the run-up to the International Day Against Violence Against Women on 25 November, Accor is strengthening its long-standing commitment to women through a new partnership with Lila.help.

A collaboration between organisations such as the Global Network of Women's Shelters, UN Women, the US National Network Against Domestic Violence and Meta, Lila.help provides a directory of assistance services for victims of domestic and sexual violence.

The platform publishes a constantly updated and rigorously monitored global directory of emergency numbers and lists of shelters and crisis and support centres with all necessary information. Lila.help is for everyone so that everyone can take action for women's safety.

With the support of the ALL Heartist Fund, a charitable funding programme aimed at assisting vulnerable people around the world, Accor will help Lila.help expand its directory internationally by translating its content into the world's 15 most spoken languages. In addition, Accor will participate in outreach activities to mobilise businesses, public bodies and vulnerable people around the platform.

This new collaboration is an important step for Accor, which relies on multiple initiatives set up at the international level and partnerships with major institutions to achieve its commitments. The Group is notably co-leader of the Generation Equality Action Coalition against Gender-Based Violence - initiated by UN Women in 2021.

This initiative is perfectly in line with Accor's strategy and more specifically with one of the four main pillars of the Group's Diversity & Inclusion policy. This commitment is reflected in the Group's many hotels where teams are implementing regional strategies to reduce gender-based violence and discrimination, such as in Turkey.

This partnership with Lila.help is an excellent opportunity for Accor to support an innovative and necessary initiative that has the power to change the lives of women around the world. For Accor, women's rights and gender equality are at the heart of our D&I policy. We are committed to ensuring that our female talent and hotel guests feel protected and included, and are empowered to achieve their aspirations. But beyond that, Accor is deeply committed to acting as a social lift in the territories where we operate. Contributing to initiatives such as Lila.help is essential to achieving this goal, and allows us to make a real difference outside the walls of our hotels.
