| SummaryIn this commitment, Accor recognizes the crucial role of its employees, for two main reasons: their daily gestures actually make the difference, and they need to be able to explain Accor’s approach to guests to involve them. To spread Accor’s commitment and turn it into daily practices for most of its employees, Accor chose to create and expand a sustainability e-learning tool to all employees of all brands._ Accor’s e-learning tool on sustainable development has two objectives: raise awareness on the stakes of sustainability in the hospitality industry and on PLANET 21, and train employees on daily best practices. The tool is therefore structured in two complementary modules: “1 - The challenges of the planet” and “2 - Good practices to adopt in every area”._ This tool is both concrete and user-friendly: employees face real guest situations and can simulate new gestures that can be implemented in day-to-day activity, in every area of a hotel. It was designed to address all employees, from all 100 professions existing at Accor, from all countries and brands. Therefore, it has already been translated into 8 languages to reach all employees_ The next steps will be to include sustainable development in every core job training module, and to translate it into additional languages._ Accor’s ambition is strong: this e-learning tool will be in each country’s 2013 training plan, in order to support the roll out and implementation of the PLANET 21 strategy._ Please tell us why do you think you should win?_ The Accor sustainability e-learning tool and its roll-out plan reflect the level of ambition of the Group in the operational implementation of its PLANET 21 strategy.
