After navigating through troubled waters during the health crisis, the cruise sector is finally returning to sustained levels of activity. This is good news for a number of destinations that depend heavily on the industry for their tourism, particularly in Europe, where cruise holidays are very popular. These destinations are also on the agenda for the many new itineraries that will be plying the seas around the world between 2023 and 2024. The players in the sector are always keen to surprise their customers with new experiences.

What about the state of health of the cruise sector? While 2021 marked the timid return of cruises, with 13.9 million passengers compared with 29.7 million cruise passengers in 2019, 2022 seems to have confirmed the sector's recovery, with more than 30 million passengers worldwide.
