Lifestyle hotel fans will be able to combine business and pleasure in many more locations in the future as Ennismore’s “Working From_” brand will be expanded to 12 more hotel brands around the world.

Currently, only two of the group’s The Hoxton properties in London and Chicago operate co-working spaces that include flexible memberships for open desks and full-floor private offices.

But now, Ennismore hotel group plans to expand its Working From_ operations to all of its remaining hotel brands, including Mondrian, Hyde and Mama Shelter.

We’re taking the Working From_ brand that was historically associated with The Hoxton and we’re going to carry that across to all our brands. You’re going to find a Working From_ SLS, a Working From_ Mondrian, and that brand will morph into that parent brand’s design ethos. […] Not only have 850 desks been sold in Southwark, we have a waiting list of 400 people waiting to join.

The entrepreneur also finds the mix of co-working, food and beverage and lifestyle accommodation attractive for real estate partners because “hotel owners like revenue diversification”.

The move shouldn’t come as a surprise. Ennismore partnered with Accor in 2020, which has become one of the more optimistic hoteliers when it comes to offering coworking across its portfolio through its Wojo venture.
