In the seven months to the end of August, hotel occupancy in London and UK provincial cities dropped by between 2-3 per cent and RevPAR slumped by 11-12 per cent. This followed similar declines in 2008. The figures aren't good and you need to be an optimist to see recovery around the corner. But...
