At present, he is the Chairman of the Board of Directors, HNA Group.
Mr. Wang gained bachelor’s degree majored in aviation operation management from the Department of Economic Management, Civil Aviation University of China in 1983, and MBA from Maastricht School of Management in the Netherlands in 1995.
From 1983 to 1990, Mr. Wang worked in the Planning Department of the Civil Aviation Administration of China, during which he studied in Japan Airlines and obtained the certificate issued by AOTS and JAL. After returning from Japan, he has long been engaged in civil aviation work including economic management, planning management and business management, and has accumulated a wealth of experience in civil aviation management, international negotiations and foreign economic relations. In 1990, he participated in the establishment of Hainan Provincial Airlines Company and played an outstanding role in the formation of HNA Group. He is one of the leaders and decision-makers of HNA.
In 2003, he was awarded the medal of “Hero of HNA”. At present, he is the Chairman of the Board of Directors, HNA Group. He is the visiting professor at Civil Aviation University of China and China Institute for Reform and Development.
