As senior vice president of Communications and Public Affairs for Walt Disney Parks and Resorts, Kristin Wingard leads a global team focused on creating a unified, strategic approach to external and internal communications, public relations, press events, government relations, and corporate citizenship in order to drive long-term growth, strengthen the Disney brand, and further enhance Disney Parks and Resorts’ reputation for creating magical experiences that guests remember forever.
Kristin joined The Walt Disney Company in April 2004 as senior vice president of Public Affairs for the Disneyland Resort, where she was responsible for developing and implementing public affairs strategies that enhanced the resort’s local and national reputation, and positioned it positively with government officials, industry organizations and community groups.
Prior to joining The Walt Disney Company, Kristin was the senior vice president of Marketing, Communications and Media Relations for the National Restaurant Association. She also served as press secretary, campaign manager and legislative assistant for former Delaware Governor and Congressman Mike Castle during his tenure in the U.S. House of Representatives.
Kristin is a graduate of the University of Delaware with a Bachelor of Arts in English-Journalism and Communications and holds a Master of Arts in Literature from American University.
