Sleep Inn, a brand in the Choice Hotels portfolio, is transforming itself and launching a next-generation prototype that focuses on both modern design and guest wellness. This is expected to be completed and deployed by the end of 2023.

The Sleep Inn brand now has more than 530 existing or opening properties worldwide. Its mid-range segment hotels stand out for both their nature-inspired design and a beneficial operating model for owners.

This modern prototype is committed to continuous innovation of new products in agreement with customers and owners. It aims to maintain the lowest possible construction and operating costs in the mid-range segment. Initial testing has shown that the prototype increases the likelihood that customers will choose this brand over another by an average of 25 percent.

"The new look builds on the strong value proposition developers have come to expect from Sleep Inn to maintain the lowest construction and operating costs in the segment, while focusing on the inviting, wellness-focused elements of the brand that help modern travelers get a good night's sleep. It's the ideal solution for growth-minded owners looking to capture opportunities in the popular mid-range segment with a product that has been proven to appeal to guests' needs and senses." - David Pepper, director of development, Choice Hotels

This project includes the addition of several additional branded amenities to enhance the guest experience:

  • wellness offerings
  • Updated guest rooms with linens and furnishings
  • open lobbies
  • breakfast areas
  • outdoor spaces

"Mid-sized travelers want convenient, stylish accommodations without sacrificing value and access to modern amenities on the road, which is why Sleep Inn has remained a customer favorite since we introduced the Designed to Dream prototype more than 13 years ago. This evolved look and feel stays true to the brand's founding philosophy by drawing inspiration from nature to help guests relax, recharge and reconnect with what matters most. We also look forward to delighting guests with a suite of new wellness offerings to elevate and differentiate their travel experience." - Cathy Hartman, vice president, brand strategy, Choice Hotels
