The American group, Marriott International, has announced the launch of a Facebook chatbot, making it easier to view job vacancies from the group.
Marriott has announced the launch of MC (Marriott Careers), a chatbot that works via Facebook Messenger, for people wishing to pursue a career with the group.
This new service provides a more intuitive and pleasant way of interacting with the group, as well as allowing candidates to personalise their job search, a popular trend in the hospitality sector at the moment. While the hotel industry seems to suffer from a lack of ‘attractiveness’, the implementation of these innovative methods offers a potential solution to the lack of candidates.
This new tool is designed to facilitate quick 'matches' between employers and candidates, especially for roles that urgently need to be filled. This is not the first time that Marriott has introduced chatbots. Recently, the group developed and implemented Chatbotlr, an instant chat service for customers, to aid with queries during their stay.
