The Km127 hotel is the very first hotel operating by subscription in France. It is also autonomous in water and electricity.
Alexander John Preston, President and co-founder of KmGroup, and Frédéric Houssay, co-founder and CEO of KmGroup, created Km127. This hotel with an innovative concept located in Normandy 1h40 from Paris is scheduled to open in 2019.
The Km127 hotel offers 6 subscriptions ranging from 95 to 279€ per month, including between 2 and 7 weekends per year, divided between the low and high season. In addition, Km127 provides the opportunity to stay during the week, for up to an unlimited number of working days depending on the subscription package.
Some outdoor activities are included in subscriptions. As for the children, they can be cared for on request, half a day or a day, and workshops will be offered: work at the educational farm or in the vegetable garden, cooking, horseback riding, walks, etc.
The property also offers accommodations that are autonomous in terms of water and electricity. "One of the challenges for the future of tourism is to propose an innovative hotel offer that integrates the requirements of more authentic luxury, more virtuous ecological practices and new habits in the choice and lifestyle of a weekend or longer stay. For its subscribers, Km127 meets this need," explains Frédéric Houssay, CEO and co-founder of Km127.
The company plans to open three hotel estates in France within 5 years, each within 2 hours of the two main cities such as Paris (Km127 Normandie) and Lyon. In a second phase, it envisages international development with about ten openings in Europe.
