A regular speaker at the Global Lodging Forum, Jean-Paul Betbèze, Director of Economic Analysis Crédit Agricole SA, will once again decipher the situation of the financial system. In his recently published work: "100 jours pour défaire ou refaire la France" (100 days to rebuilt or destroy France's economy), he also offers alternatives for not sinking into the recession and for stimulating new growth.

This Forum will be a fine opportunity to ask Jean-Paul Betbèze about the current reticence felt among bankers with regard to financing and about the chances of seeing them resume a policy that supports investments. He already offers suggestions in his work "100 jours", which is a veritable economic roadmap for the future winner of the presidential election: 2010 and 2011 must not be just a timely rebound during an economic downturn. Definitively coming out of the crisis, when everyone thought it was done, will require a deeper examination of French production, of the modernization of the State and management of the public debt, of social dialogue, and above all of the mastery of the financial markets that have developed their own logic, aside from the interest of the economic sector itself. Jean-Paul Betbèze is not only a reputable and competent economist, but his language is simple, frank, voluntarily provocative to mark minds and put things back into their context. Once again his comments promise to be one of the highlights of the Global Lodging Forum 2012. University professor, member of the Economic Analysis Advisory Council to the French Prime Minister and of the National Economic Committee, Jean-Paul Betbèze has authored many works and reports about the global and French economic situations. He will dedicate his most recent book, published in January by the Presses Universitaires de France, to those who will attend the Forum.
