In just a few days, lucky participants attending the 16th ceremony of the Hospitality Awards will be able to see once again the progress world's hotel industry has made in all areas thanks to the selected finalists. Innovation has been showcased as the best response to all the pressure and competition the industry is subject to.
Once again, 200 applications were received across all the categories. They were carefully examined by the selection committee and the juries that made their nominations that will be validated in the course of this evening. Laurence Parisot, currently vice president Ifop, and former president of Medef, masterfully led the deliberations of the international jury. She will discuss the process during the ceremony. Meanwhile, the directors of the primary hotel groups, gathered for the Advisory Board Committee, examined dossiers presented for the Hospitality Management School Awards categories and proposed different personalities for the Lifetime Achievement award. Michael Wale, president EMEA Starwood Hotels & Resorts, was also an attentive and efficient president directing discussions that led to the final selection.
The Worldwide Hospitality Awards have become a veritable innovation and best practices platform for the industry. Take a look at the dossiers available on line on the Hospitality ON website under Awards Projects to see for yourself. Judge the quality of the ideas and solutions implemented in the different areas of hotel operations within your field of expertise. Through the diversity of applications received from major hotel groups and inventive independent owners alike, the panoply of innovation assumes its full dimension. Then it is up to the professionals attending the ceremony (register) to vote throughout the evening to designer the happy winners from among the finalists who will be presented.
Beyond the leap into hotel innovation, accessible to anyone interested in the sector's trends, the Hospitality Awards are also a veritable family reunion for those who have evolved from one group to another and one continent to the next; it is an opportunity to renew ties and make new contacts. The festive aspect is in the original DNA of the ceremony that will end with an apotheosis around buffets prepared by the kitchen brigade at Café de la Paix, under the orders of the Meilleur Ouvrier de France, Christophe Raoux, Executive chef at the InterContinental Paris Le Grand. Like each year he has left room for a fellow chef from another group to work, in this case the Pastry Chef from the Park Hyatt Paris Vendôme, Fabien Berteau, renown for desserts, to close the evening with delighted taste buds on a convivial note.
