YOTEL is an independent UK-based hotel group operating in Europe, the US and Asia Pacific.
YOTEL's concept was born to demonstrate it was possible to achieve a luxury feel in a compact space through smart and clever design.
The YOTEL Group evolves around 3 strong brands with similar, yet distinct positioning: YOTEL (4-star lifestyle city centre hotels), YOTELPAD (4-star lifestyle extended stay) and YOTELAIR (“rent by-the-hour” hotels in airport terminals).
YOTEL properties are renowned for their unique technology and design. Each room offers a 4-star experience through high quality materials and amenities, as well as an array of technology that includes a signature, electrically adjustable SmartBed™, rain showers, mood lights, a minibar and coffee machine, autonomous room service robots (YOBOTS), multiple USB plugs as well as a Smart TV for guest connectivity.
All YOTEL hotels also offer:
- Mission Control : a reception where guests are invited to check in and out themselves via touch-screen terminals. Staff is always here to help.
- Komyuniti : a multi-functional, full-service F&B space that serves as the central hub of the hotel. Designed to create a sense of belonging, whether for work or play.
- A 24/7 gym with the latest equipment.
The main shareholders of the YOTEL Group are the MAB Group (Med Al-Bahar), Starwood Capital Group, United Investment Portugal and Kuwait Real Estate Company (AQARAT).
The first YOTELAIR was opened in 2007 at Gatwick Airport, closely followed by a second at Heathrow Airport. International openings followed with YOTEL 4-star urban concept hotels in major tourist destinations such as Amsterdam, New York, Dubai, Singapore, San Francisco and Miami. In France, the YOTELAIR Paris Charles de Gaulle airport opened its 80 rooms in 2016 within the Terminal 2E, hall L.
In 2017, YOTEL announced a $250m strategic partnership with Starwood Capital Group.
In 2018, YOTEL launches its new extended stay brand YOTELPAD.
Years 2019 to 2021 will be marked by the opening of 13 new hotels, including the first city centre hotels in Europe (Amsterdam, Glasgow, Edinburgh, London, Manchester, Porto, etc.)
2022 will see the opening of the first dual-branded YOTEL + YOTELPAD property in downtown Miami, the 6th hotel in the United Kingdom and the announcement of a first asset in Japan with YOTEL Tokyo planned for 2024.
